A Clinical Study of Pregnancy Rate after Tubal Reanastomosis

Abstract
From January 1991 to June 1993, 39 cases of tubal reanastomoses were performed in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dong-A University Hospital and 26 cases were followed for more than 12 months. A clinical analysis of these cases was
done to
evaluate the factors influencing the pregnancy rate tubal reanastomosis.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. The mean age of patients was 31.3 years.
2. The reasons for requesting tubal reanastomosis were loss of child 7.7%, remarriage 42.3% and change in attitude 48.7%.
3. Mean interval from tubal reanastomosis to pregnancy was 3.7 months and the rate of pregnancy was 65.4%.
4. The age of the patients, duration of sterilization and previous sterilization method did not affect the pregnancy rate significantly/
5. Pregnancy rate in the patients of postoperative tubal length 6cm or longer was higher than that of shorter than 6cm.
6. Among the reanastomotic tubal portion, isthmic-isthmic portion showed the highest rate of pregnancy, but it was not statistically significant.
7. The pregnancy outcomes after reanastomosis were full-term delivery(14 cases), on going pregnancy (1 case), ectopic pregnancy (1 case) and spontaneous abortion (1 case).
